The story
In 2015, I took a leap of faith, fresh out of massage school, and opened my own business. I built a thriving general massage practice, working with clients from all walks of life. While I was able to help people relax and recover, I knew something was missing.
Then, an incredible opportunity came my way. I was invited to work with the track and field team at Campbell University, focusing on their elite sprinters and hurdlers. This was the moment my true calling was reignited. I found myself not only providing sports massage but also analyzing movement patterns to uncover the inefficiencies that were contributing to pain and limiting performance. It was clear that massage therapy, paired with a deep understanding of biomechanics, could truly transform an athlete’s recovery and ability to perform at the highest levels.
During my time with Campbell, I had the privilege of traveling to prestigious events like the NCAA Regionals and Nationals—twice, and I also worked with athletes at the USA Championship Trials in 2023 and the Jamaican Olympic Trials in 2024. These experiences opened my eyes to the profound impact that sports massage can have on elite athletes and deepened my commitment to this work.
Now, as I transition to working with the track and field teams at East Carolina University and professional athletes, my approach is clear: I don’t want to just put a band-aid on a problem. My goal is to dig deep, find the root cause of an issue, and address it in a way that truly supports long-term healing and performance. I don’t just listen to the pain my clients feel—I listen to the impact that pain has on their daily lives, their passions, and the things they love most.
In addition to my hands-on work with athletes, I’m also an instructor for CrossFunction Sports Massage Academy, the top sports massage program in the country.
Whether I’m working with a professional athlete or someone seeking relief from chronic pain, my approach is always the same: to truly understand the body, to listen deeply, and to help clients return to the activities they love with renewed strength, mobility, and confidence.
